Description

This model is for people who encounter snakes in the state of Maryland and some of the surrounding states. There are 4 common species of snake that this model can identify; Common Garter, Black Rat, Timber Rattlesnake, and Eastern Copperhead. The latter two are venomous, and other two are harmless. To train this model I gathered images from preexisting datasets on Kaggle and pictures from iNaturalist. This model was created for a class assignment in AI and Natural History at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
