Description

Here are a few use cases for this project:

  1. Agricultural Disease Control - This model can be incorporated into a mobile application used by farmers or agricultural inspectors to monitor and diagnose tomato diseases on spot, thus enable them to take quick necessary preventive measures.

  2. Automated Greenhouse Management Systems - The tomato-diseases model can be integrated into greenhouse automation systems. IoT-based sensors coupled with computer vision can continuously monitor crops, detect diseases early, and alert farmers, ultimately improving yield.

  3. Agricultural Research - The model can be used by researchers to study the prevalence and spread of different tomato diseases, recognize patterns or factors leading to certain diseases, and predict future outbreaks.

  4. Grocery Store Quality Control - Grocery stores can use this model to routinely check the quality of their tomato produce, discard disease-infected ones, and maintain high quality and safe products for their customers.

  5. Supply Chain Management - As part of a comprehensive quality control throughout the supply chain, the model can help detect subpar, disease-infected tomatoes during sorting, packaging, or transport, ensuring only healthy tomatoes make it to the consumers.
