Description

Here are a few use cases for this project:

  1. Biodiversity Monitoring: Use the chromis model to analyze underwater images and videos collected by marine biologists, environmentalists, and researchers to monitor and track the population and distribution of chromis and damsel fish species in various ecosystems, contributing to a better understanding of marine biodiversity.

  2. Aquarium Management: Implement the chromis model in aquariums or scientific institutions housing marine life to automatically identify and monitor chromis and damsel fish, aiding in the inventory management, behavior analysis, and overall care of these fish.

  3. Sustainable Fishing: Integrate the chromis model with underwater cameras and sensors onboard fishing vessels to help fishermen avoid capturing chromis and damsels (if they are protected or not targeted), promoting sustainable fishing practices and contributing to healthier marine ecosystems.

  4. Eco-tourism and Underwater Exploration: Utilize the chromis model in applications, wearables or devices designed for divers or snorkelers, enabling them to identify chromis and damsel fish in real-time, enhancing their underwater experience and encouraging an appreciation for marine life conservation.

  5. Educational Tools: Incorporate the chromis model into interactive learning platforms or applications targeting students, educators, or marine life enthusiasts, allowing them to explore and identify different fish classes, fostering a deeper understanding and awareness of aquatic biodiversity.
