DensityTrafficController Computer Vision Project
Here are a few use cases for this project:
-
Traffic Management: This model can be used to gather real-time traffic data, calculate road density, and optimize traffic signal timing to improve the flow of movement on the roads.
-
City Planning: Urban planners can use the information provided by the DensityTrafficController to understand vehicle flow patterns, congestion times, and popular vehicle types. This can support initiatives in infrastructure development, road expansion, and transport planning.
-
Parking Management: The model can be adapted to monitor parking lots or areas to identify, classify vehicles, and manage the availability of spaces according to vehicle size/type.
-
Incident Detection: By detecting sudden changes in traffic density, the model could help in identifying accidents, breakdowns, or other incidents and alert the appropriate authorities.
-
Traffic Law Enforcement: Authorities can use the output of the model to identify areas where specific traffic laws may be broken more often, such as areas where forbidden rickshaws, HTVs, or EMVs are frequent, leading to better enforcement measures.
Trained Model API
This project has a trained model available that you can try in your browser and use to get predictions via our Hosted Inference API and other deployment methods.
