Here are a few use cases for this project:

Chess Game Analysis: This computer vision model can be used to analyze the ongoing games of chess by recognizing the pieces and their positions. It would allow coaches, players and enthusiasts to examine strategies employed, anticipate potential moves and improve skills.
Online Chess Gaming Platforms: The model can be integrated into online chess platforms to help players visualize different strategies by automatically recognizing and interpreting the program's moves into a standard chess notation.
Chess Broadcasting: In live chess tournaments, this model could be used to digitalize board position and moves in real-time, making it easier for viewers to follow the game and for commentators to analyze.
Assisting Visually Impaired: The Chess Dataset can be utilized to build an application that reads the layout of a chess board and communicates the positions of the pieces to visually impaired players, making chess more accessible for them.
Automated Chess Robots: The model could be used to handle the vision system of a chess-playing robot. It would identify the pieces and their positions for the robot to move its mechanical arm accordingly.
