Metrics
Here are a few use cases for this project:
-
Comic Book Archiving & Cataloging: This model could be used by digital archivists and comic book collectors to automatically catalog their comic books based on the characters present in each cover or page. It would help to organize large collections and make specific comics easier to find.
-
Digital Comic Book Store: The model can provide better categorization of digital comic books in online stores like Comixology. It will enhance the customer experience by assisting (Algorithmic recommendations) in finding out comics with their favorite characters.
-
Gaming Industry: Game developers could use this model to create a new interactive comic book-themed game where players have to identify or find specific characters in a scene.
-
Educational Purpose: This can be used as an educational tool to teach about Marvel characters in school, where students receive an image, and they have to write about the character or recognise it.
-
Augmented Reality: This model could be used to build an AR app where users can scan a character from a physical comic book and have that character come to life in 3D on their device. A quick link to a database would provide detailed information about the scanned character.
