Cricket Detection Computer Vision Project
Overview
An object dectection model to identify field crickets, Gryllus campestris, from images collected as part of the WildCrickets project. This enables the automated monitoring of an entire population in the wild during both day and night, utilising cameras with motion detection and infrared illumination systems.
The dataset and detection models are actively maintained and updated to include additional training data as it becomes available.
Trained Model API
This project has a trained model available that you can try in your browser and use to get predictions via our Hosted Inference API and other deployment methods.
YOLOv8
This project has a YOLOv8 model checkpoint available for inference with Roboflow Deploy. YOLOv8 is a new state-of-the-art real-time object detection model.
