Description

Here are a few use cases for this project:

  1. Educational Use: The computer vision model could be incorporated into scientific curriculum in schools to help students learn about the life cycle of zebrafish. Students could interact with images from the dataset, helping them to understand the different stages of development.

  2. Zebrafish Farming Optimization: Fish farmers or breeding enthusiasts could use the computer vision model to monitor zebrafish populations. It could help identify dead or unhealthy eggs, or determine the most productive periods for breeding.

  3. Environment Monitoring: The model could be used in environmental studies to monitor zebrafish populations in rivers, ponds, or aquariums. Changes in egg viability could provide an early indication of water quality issues or potential threats to the species.

  4. Pharmaceutical Research: Zebrafish are commonly used in biomedical research for drug discovery. This model could simplify the process of identifying the different stages of zebrafish eggs, helping researchers to understand the effects of drugs at each developmental stage.

  5. Zoo or Aquarium Use: Aquariums and zoos could use the model as part of their population management systems, helping them to optimize their breeding programs and to quickly identify any problems.
