Description

Here are a few use cases for this project:

  1. Urban Planning and Infrastructure Development: The computer vision model can be used to detect and categorize various urban elements such as buildings, lampposts, benches, garbage bins, fitness equipment, cycling tracks, etc. This data can be useful for urban planners to visualize, analyze and plan the urban infrastructure more effectively.

  2. Surveillance and Security: The model could facilitate video surveillance systems by identifying objects and activities in public spaces such as parks, beaches, and roads. It could help detect any out-of-the-ordinary actions, like unattended objects, or activities in restricted areas.

  3. Accessibility Planning: By identifying ramps, stairs, washrooms, and pedestrian underpasses, the model can be used to assess and improve accessibility in cities, particularly for disabled individuals.

  4. Environmental Management: The model could be used for identifying and managing environmental elements like palm trees, bushes, grass, recycling centers, and more to assist in environment-related planning and conservation initiatives.

  5. Tourism Industry: This vision model can be utilized to guide tourists or visitors in a city, by helping them recognize places, objects, or amenities around them such as benches, beach chairs, vending machines, sign boards etc. It can be implemented within a mobile app for better tourist experience.
