Description

Here are a few use cases for this project:

  1. Public Health and Safety Monitoring: Analyze real-time or recorded video feeds from public spaces such as transport stations, shopping malls, or busy streets to monitor overall mask usage and create heatmaps of areas with less mask compliance or incorrect mask-wearing habits. Authorities and administrators can use this information to make informed decisions for targeted awareness campaigns or stricter regulations.

  2. Retail and Workplace Compliance: Implement the "mask-crown" model in security cameras or access control systems of retail stores, restaurants, offices, or factories to ensure that all employees and customers are wearing masks appropriately before entering. The system can be set up to send notifications or trigger alarms when non-compliance is detected.

  3. Educational Institutions: Integrate the computer vision model into surveillance cameras within schools, colleges, and universities to monitor mask-wearing habits of students, staff, and faculty members. This information can be used to educate stakeholders about proper mask usage and track improvements in compliance over time.

  4. Social Distancing Analysis: Combine the "mask-crown" model with additional computer vision models to analyze the distance between individuals (also identified by the 'person' class) in public spaces. This can help assess and improve overall COVID-19 safety measures by incorporating mask-wearing and social distancing data together.

  5. Event Management: Use the computer vision model to monitor the mask-wearing compliance of attendees during conferences, concerts, sports events, or other public gatherings. Event organizers can use this data to enforce mask usage and ensure that safety guidelines are being followed.
