Here are a few use cases for this project:

  1. Agriculture Management: The model could be used in smart farming applications to identify whether or not a strawberry plant has diseases, based on the type of fungus identified by the model. This can enable farmers to detect and treat plant diseases at an early stage to prevent crop loss.

  2. Food Processing Units: The food industry specifically ones dealing with strawberries can use this model to inspect the quality of strawberries. It can be a valuable tool in quality control to discard strawberries infected with either white powder or gray fungus.

  3. Pesticide Development: Researchers developing pesticides or treatments specifically for these diseases can use the model to evaluate the effectiveness of their product. Using the model, they can monitor how well their treatments have removed or prevented the diseases on plants during trials.

  4. Gardening Apps: This model could power an app feature that identifies plant diseases. Home gardeners can take a photo of their strawberry plant and the app can inform if their plant has WhitePowder or GrayFungus disease.

  5. Plant Nurseries: Nurseries can use this model to maintain the health of their strawberry plants. They can periodically scan their plants to detect if any signs of the diseases appear, enabling them to take prompt action.
