batch_26 Computer Vision Project
Here are a few use cases for this project:
-
Smart City Traffic Management: This model could be utilized to dynamically manage street-side parking, spotting available spots and invalid spots to prevent parking violations. This could also be used by traffic regulatory bodies to identify possibly illegally parked vehicles.
-
Advanced Vehicle Parking Assistance: A system in vehicles that aids drivers in finding available parking spaces by using data from this model's image recognition of valid and invalid parking spots.
-
Parking Garage Management: Implementation in automated parking garages for recognizing valid spots and preventing parking in invalid spots. It would allocate vehicles to available spots and efficiently manage the parking lots.
-
Online Parking Space Finder: This could power an app that uses crowdsourced images to indicate where parking spots are available around the city, then maps out all the valid parking spots around a user.
-
Law Enforcement: The model could be used by traffic police or relevant authorities to identify potentially illegal parking (i.e., at red/white/yellow curbs, fire hydrants or entrances. This can help them monitor traffic rules compliance in real-time.
