RedZ_GreyZ_MartenZ Computer Vision Project
Updated a month ago
Metrics
This computer vision model attempts to detect red squirrels (sciurus vulgaris), grey squirrels (sciurus carolinensis) and pine martens (martes martes) from imagery. Designed for use in wildlife conservation work. Very useful when you have many SD cards to review eg from multiple wildlife trail camera's. Works on both still images eg JPGs and movie files eg MP4 / AVI. If using movie files, its recommended to use MP4 format and keep the duration of movie files short OR extract still images from movie file first eg 1 every 3 seconds etc (many programs / scripts available for this). This model does not claim to be perfect - but will be updated periodically to improve it. Hope this helps. HJL
